Update

    The server is telling me that it's using a "newer version of the game".
    Is this true? What's up with that?

    Exactly what Jay said.

    If you don't have automatic updates applied then you will need to update your game manually.

    Of course, that is common sense. Thing is, there is no update. And I do have auto-updates enabled.

    Are you able to join any other servers?  Is ours the only one you are having issues with?

    If you have auto update enabled simply restart steam and it should do the update.
