I'm using a headset Microphone and when I plug it into the computer, it doesn't pick up any sound, nothing.. its plugged into the right plugin but for some reason it just doesn't seem to work, its a 'Plantrocnics' headset if that makes any sort of difference, any suggestions?
Make sure you have the correct drivers so your computer recognizes the headset. http://www.logitech.com/en-us/support
Which operating system are you on? If Windows 7, right click the speaker icon in the bottom right hand corner. Click on play back devices then navigate to the Recording tab at the top. You should see Microphone or Planetronics. Try speaking into the mic and see if the volume bar to the right raises at all.
I'm on Windows 7. and Its a laptop too so who knows maybe the headset is just old, and the wires are shorted out or something, Its a pretty new Laptop, trying to mix with an older headset.
