Here is a video of the last takeoff of the discovery space shuttle.  The discovery space shuttle just arrived here in va yesterday via 747 and will sitting in the museum here at dulles airport.

My Papa works there!: D i use to drive around the space shuttle too look at it.. Like wed drive on the road where that big Truck thing caries it to the launch pad.

 

Visiited Cape Canaveral when a shuttle was out on the pad but was not able to stay for the launch.  Wish i had.  Thanks for sharing.

 

i have seen one launch about 10 yrs ago and nothing will match it with the sound and actually feeling the rumble of the engines
