ive been acussed of ghosting 3 times beacuse ive been afk so i thought this might help an afk command to where it blocks a persons screen and keeps them on server i think it might help people play longer so what do ya say
Are you talking about the hide and seek server? It could easily be done, just depends if I have time to implement it or not. Not sure if its really needed though
I voted no cuz if an admin needs to be in afk to check someone for cheating and the screen is blacked out we cant do that
I DID get an idea out of this. Do you admins have a command in your admin menu yet to black out someone's screen? If not, IMPLEMENT IT. Make it so it's a toggle that only blacks out their screen when they're either dead or in spectator team if enabled on them. If there's suspicion someone's ghosting for someone else, you've been speccing as an admin for a minute or two, and really think the CT (could also be a running and dodging T avoiding ppl through info from a speccer btw, just realised) is getting info from someone, do the usual lookup of their steam profile to see if someone speccing / dead is on their friends list for some confirmation of suspicion, then black out the speccer's screen. Say nothing about it and keep speccing the player you think is getting info. Watch to see if all of a sudden, he can't find shit / does run into ppl / shows signs of "WTF?" in their minds as their friend tells them their screen is black so they can't help anymore... Now, if someone's getting told where ppl are, if you warn em to stop, they could just be more careful about it and act a little dumb / look around more / keep trolling. This way, you can harvest more data about their play style through their reaction to the black screen their friend has and make a well informed decision to kick/ban or not, fast. And you've disabled the possibility of cheating for them, too. Of course, if you're sure they're cheating, warn em and toggle the black screen on their friend 2 rounds after. See if they pick up their old speccing ways. Never mention using the black screen thing, never bring it up in relation to other comments you make / things you do, don't toggle it just as you warn them to stop speccing; it should appear random to them, they shouldn't think you're doing it, or at least have doubt in their minds. If they know you're doing it, i.e. they know you're on to them, they'll just act dumb, as mentioned before.. INFORMATION WARFARE
Even better, I just thought, would be to pop em a black screen 1 round every so now and then, randomly, before any warning has been given, to test for reactions while making them really think it's a random bug or so. That way, they'll be way less careful and keep speccing whenever they're not blacked out, and you can see an obvious difference between rounds where they do, and where they don't have a black screen.
